Quickstart

This page walks you through your first run, from picking a tool to undoing it if you change your mind.

Open the tools directory and choose a tool. Tools that only read public Bluesky data work without signing in, such as Compare Lists, Handle & DID Lookup, Reply Export, and Post Screenshot. See Signing In for the full list.

Tools that read your own follows or lists, or change your account, ask you to sign in. Choose Sign in in the header, type your handle, and choose Continue with Bluesky. You approve access on the server that hosts your account; your password is never entered on BskyKit. Afterwards you come back to the page you started from.

  1. Load. The tool reads what it needs from Bluesky, such as your follows, a list, or your posts. Bluesky sends data in pages, so a large account takes minutes. Choose Stop to end a read early.
  2. Filter and select. Use the filters to narrow the results, then select the accounts or records you want to act on. Nothing has changed yet.
  3. Confirm. The tool tells you what it is about to do. Nothing changes on your account until you confirm.
  4. The run writes. BskyKit writes the records at a pace that stays within Bluesky’s limits and shows its progress. Choose Pause to hold the run and Resume to carry on.
  5. Keep browsing. A run keeps going while you move to other BskyKit pages in the same tab. If it reaches a limit it waits and carries on by itself. If you close the tab, it waits, paused, in History until you resume it.
  6. Undo. Every run except a Bulk Delete can be undone from History.
