My Blocks
What it does
Section titled “What it does”My Blocks lists every account you block, newest block first, with the date of each block. It reads your block records from your own server, so accounts that were deleted, deactivated, or taken down since you blocked them are included.
You can filter and search the list, export it, and unblock the accounts you choose in one run, which you can undo from History.
My Blocks is the first tab of the Moderation tools, next to My Mutes, Lists (Block & Mute Lists), Bulk Block, and Block Followers.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Sign in with your Bluesky account. See Signing In.
- Accounts blocked through a block list you subscribe to are not listed here; those are managed in Block & Mute Lists.
Step by step
Section titled “Step by step”- Open My Blocks and sign in if asked.
- Your blocks load by themselves: first Reading your blocks, then Checking the accounts, with a progress bar. Choose Stop to end the read early.
- When the read finishes, the line above the list says when it loaded, such as Loaded just now, with Refresh beside it.
- Narrow the list with the chips under Show, or type in Search by name, handle, or DID.
- Tick the accounts to unblock, or use Select and then Select all shown.
- Optional: choose Export to download the selected accounts first.
- Choose Unblock selected in the side column. The line under it counts the selection.
- In the confirmation, Unblock 12 accounts?, choose Unblock 12 accounts (the number matches your selection).
- The run starts, or waits behind runs already in the queue. Its progress shows above the button. When it ends, your blocks load again.
On a phone, the Unblock selected button stays pinned to the bottom of the screen while accounts are selected.
Options
Section titled “Options”| Chip | Shows accounts that |
|---|---|
| Deleted or gone | have no profile: deleted, deactivated, or taken down. They show by their DID. |
| Labeled | carry a moderation label. |
| Follows you | follow you. |
| You follow them | you follow. |
Each chip shows its count. An account shows when it matches any chosen chip. With no chip chosen, every account shows. The same labels appear as badges on each row.
Search
Section titled “Search”Search by name, handle, or DID matches any part of a handle or display name, or a full DID typed exactly.
Select
Section titled “Select”| Choice | What it does |
|---|---|
| Select all shown | Selects every account the filters and search show. |
| Select none | Clears the whole selection. |
| Invert shown | Flips the selection of the accounts shown. |
Export
Section titled “Export”Export downloads the selected accounts as blocks.csv or blocks.json, with the columns did,
handle, display_name, and reasons (the chips each account matches). It is unavailable until you
select an account.
Refresh and Stop
Section titled “Refresh and Stop”- Refresh reads your blocks again. The list shown stays until the new read is in.
- Stop ends a read under way; what was shown before stays.
Size choice for large runs
Section titled “Size choice for large runs”When the selection is more than BskyKit suggests for a day, or more than your server allows in a day, the confirmation asks how much to do now: a part of the selection now, such as Unblock the first 400 now, or Start the whole run. The rest stay selected for another day.
Pacing meter
Section titled “Pacing meter”Under the button, a meter shows Follows, blocks, and mutes in the last 24 hours against the 1,000 BskyKit suggests a day.
What gets changed
Section titled “What gets changed”- Unblock selected deletes the chosen block records (
app.bsky.graph.block) from your own Bluesky server. Nothing else changes. - Your block records are read from your own server, and each blocked account’s profile through it.
- The list stays only in the open tab. Moving to another BskyKit page and back does not stop or repeat the read; signing out or switching account clears it. See Data on Your Device.
On Bluesky, blocks are public records. Anyone can see whom an account blocks.
Undo the run from History. It blocks the same accounts again, with new block records dated the day of the undo. The undo confirmation reads, for example, Blocks 12 accounts again. See History & Undo.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”- Unblocks count toward the 1,000 a day BskyKit suggests, together with follows, unfollows, blocks, mutes, and list subscription changes.
- Each unblock is a delete. Your server allows up to about 5,000 an hour and 35,000 a day. When a run reaches a limit, it waits and carries on by itself while a BskyKit tab is open.
- Blocks are read 100 at a time, and profiles 25 at a time, four requests at once.
See Limits & Pacing.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”“Could not read your blocks”
Section titled ““Could not read your blocks””Your server did not answer, or the connection dropped. Choose Try again.
“You do not block anyone”
Section titled ““You do not block anyone””Your account has no block records. Blocks that come from a subscribed block list are listed in Block & Mute Lists, not here.
The same account shows twice
Section titled “The same account shows twice”You have two block records for it. This can happen when an account is blocked in Bluesky after Bulk Block checked it, and Bulk Block then blocks it again. Each record is its own row. Select both rows to remove the block completely.
An account shows only as a DID
Section titled “An account shows only as a DID”Its profile is gone: the account was deleted, deactivated, or taken down. It matches Deleted or gone. You can still unblock it, and you can look the DID up in Handle & DID Lookup.
“BskyKit is open in another tab”
Section titled ““BskyKit is open in another tab””Another BskyKit tab holds an older copy of the run database open. Close the other tab and reload. See Troubleshooting.
