Media Gallery

Open Media Gallery →

Media Gallery shows every image and video from your own posts and replies in one grid, newest first. A post with four images gives four tiles. Images or a video posted beside a quoted post count too; link cards, reposts, and likes do not.

From the grid you can:

  • open any tile’s post on Bluesky;
  • select posts and send them to Bulk Delete, which opens with exactly those posts selected.

Media Gallery itself changes nothing. Deleting happens only in Bulk Delete, after its export and confirmation.

  • Sign in. See Signing In.
  • It uses the shared read of your posts, reposts, and likes, the same one as Bulk Delete and Content Search. If you already read your account in one of those tools, the grid shows at once. See the shared read.
  1. Open Media Gallery and sign in.
  2. Choose Read my posts, reposts, and likes, unless the read is already there. Tiles appear as the read goes on.
  3. Narrow the grid with Type and Date. The bar above the grid counts what is shown, such as 1,240 images and 32 videos.
  4. Choose a tile to open its post on Bluesky in a new tab.
  5. To select a post, tick the box in the corner of any of its tiles. Every tile of that post shows as selected, and the bar counts posts, such as 3 posts selected.
  6. To delete the selected posts, choose Delete in Bulk Delete. Bulk Delete opens with those posts selected; check them there and follow its steps.

Video tiles carry a play marker. The tile’s date shows when you point at its box.

Option Choices Default What it does
Type All, Images, Videos All Which media to show.
Date All time, Older than 30 days, Older than a year, Last 30 days, Custom All time When the post was made. With Custom, pick From and To; both days are included, in your time zone.
Select all shown Selects every post in the grid under the current filters.
Clear Selects nothing. Shows once a post is selected.
Delete in Bulk Delete Opens Bulk Delete with exactly the selected posts selected, in place of anything selected there before. Shows once a post is selected.

The grid has 2 to 6 tiles across, depending on the width of your screen. Your filters and selection are kept while you move around BskyKit in this tab, and reset when you sign out or switch accounts.

Nothing in Media Gallery: it only reads.

  • Your posts come from the shared read, from your own Bluesky server.
  • The pictures in the grid load from Bluesky’s image and video servers, as small stills.
  • On this device: the shared read, until Clear, Read again, or sign-out. See Data on Your Device.
  • Deleting: only in Bulk Delete, after you type DELETE and its export downloads. See What gets changed there.

Nothing to undo in Media Gallery. Posts you then delete in Bulk Delete cannot be brought back; see Undo there.

  • Every post and reply on your account is included; there is no cap. Only the rows of tiles on screen are drawn, so a grid of thousands stays smooth.
  • The shared read is paced to stay within your server’s limits. A very large account takes a few minutes the first time, and shows at once on later visits. See Limits & Pacing.

The grid says “Reading your account” or “No images or videos”

Section titled “The grid says “Reading your account” or “No images or videos””

Reading your account means the shared read is still going. No images or videos means none of your posts and replies has any. Reposts and likes are never shown.

The grid says “Nothing matches these filters”

Section titled “The grid says “Nothing matches these filters””

Your posts have media, but none in the chosen Type and Date. Choose All and All time.

Its still could not be loaded from Bluesky. The tile still opens the post.

Bulk Delete says some posts are “selected outside this view”

Section titled “Bulk Delete says some posts are “selected outside this view””

Bulk Delete’s own filters hide some of the posts you sent. They are still selected and are deleted with the rest. Clear Bulk Delete’s filters to see them all.

It is not: once a run deletes a post, it leaves the gallery and its selection. If you deleted it outside BskyKit, choose Read again to refresh the read.
