Superfans
What it does
Section titled “What it does”Superfans ranks the people who engage most with an account. It has two modes, chosen under Show at the top of the page:
- Their fans: for any account, who liked, reposted, replied to, and quoted its latest posts the most. You do not need to sign in.
- Who you engage with: signed in, the accounts whose posts you like, repost, reply to, and quote the most. This mode only appears while you are signed in.
Each ranked account shows its avatar, name, and handle, its total (such as 12 interactions), on how many posts it engaged (such as on 31 of 50 posts), and its likes, reposts, replies, and quotes. Choose a row to open the profile on Bluesky in a new tab. Above the list, a line sums it up, such as 1,204 accounts engaged with 50 posts or You engaged with 1,204 accounts.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Their fans needs only the account’s handle, DID, or a bsky.app profile link. Signed in, the box is filled with your own handle.
- Who you engage with needs you to sign in. It uses the read of your posts, reposts, and likes that Content Search, Bulk Delete, and Alt-Text Audit share. If you made that read in one of those tools, it is used at once.
- In Their fans, the address holds the account (
?q=), so a ranking is a shareable link.
Step by step
Section titled “Step by step”Their fans
Section titled “Their fans”- Open Superfans. Signed in, choose Their fans under Show.
- Type a handle, DID, or profile link in Handle, DID, or profile link, or pick a suggested account as you type.
- Choose how many Posts to read: Last 25, Last 50, or Last 100.
- Choose Find fans. The bar shows Reading posts, then Post 12 of 50 as it reads each post’s engagement. The ranking grows as each post is read.
- To end early, choose Stop. The ranking keeps what was read. Start again reads from the beginning.
- Change the sort with the menu beside the summary line.
- To start over, choose Clear in the box.
Who you engage with
Section titled “Who you engage with”- Sign in, open Superfans, and choose Who you engage with under Show.
- If your account has not been read yet, choose Read my posts, reposts, and likes. The ranking fills in as the read goes. Stop ends it early; Continue carries on later.
- Narrow the dates with Date, if you like.
- Change the sort with the menu beside the summary line.
Options
Section titled “Options”Posts (Their fans)
Section titled “Posts (Their fans)”How many of the account’s latest posts to read: Last 25, Last 50 (the default), or Last 100. Its own posts and replies count; its reposts do not. Changing this starts a new read.
Date (Who you engage with)
Section titled “Date (Who you engage with)”When you engaged: All time (the default), Older than 30 days, Older than a year, Last 30 days, or Custom with From and To days. Both days are included, in your time zone.
The menu beside the summary line ranks by:
- Score (the default): each like counts 1, each repost 2, each reply 3, and each quote 3, so people who take the time to reply or quote rank above people who only like.
- Likes, Reposts, Replies, or Quotes: that count alone.
Ties go to the account that engaged with more posts, then to the higher score. Changing the sort re-ranks at once, with no new read.
What counts
Section titled “What counts”- Their fans: likes, reposts, and quotes of each post, and the direct replies to it. The account itself is left out, as are accounts Bluesky hides.
- Who you engage with: a like or repost counts for the author of the post, a reply for the author of the post you replied to, and a quote for the author of the post you quoted. Your own posts, and likes of feeds or lists, are left out.
The list shows the first 100 accounts.
What gets changed
Section titled “What gets changed”Nothing: it only reads.
- Their fans reads the account’s posts and who engaged with them from Bluesky’s public API (AppView). The ranking stays only in the open tab: moving to another BskyKit page and back keeps it, and a read still running keeps going. It is never stored.
- Who you engage with reads your own records from your Bluesky server (PDS), and the profiles of the ranked accounts from the AppView. The read of your account is kept in this browser until you choose Clear or Read again, or sign out. See Data on Your Device.
Nothing to undo: it only reads.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”- Their fans reads at most 1,000 likes, 1,000 reposts, and 1,000 quotes per post, the latest first. When a post has more, a line says so, such as Only the latest 1,000 likes, reposts, and quotes were read on 3 posts.
- Each post takes one request per 100 likes, reposts, or quotes, plus one for its replies. A post with no likes, reposts, or quotes skips that request. Reading 100 popular posts can take up to about 3,100 requests, paced to stay within Bluesky’s limits, so it takes a while.
- A post deleted since it was listed counts as nothing.
- Accounts that Bluesky hides (labeled
!hideor!takedown) and accounts that ask to be shown only to people signed in to Bluesky are not read. - Who you engage with covers what the shared read found. A large account takes minutes to read the first time. See Limits & Pacing.
