Signing In

BskyKit has no accounts of its own. When a tool needs to read your own data or change your account, you sign in with your Bluesky account.

  1. Choose Sign in in the header.
  2. Type your handle, such as name.bsky.social. If you use your own domain as your handle, type that, such as example.com. A leading @ or a bsky.app profile link works too.
  3. Choose Continue with Bluesky. You go to the server that hosts your account, where you approve access the way you approve any other app.
  4. Afterwards you come back to the page you started from. The links and accounts you were working on in that tab survive the sign-in redirect.

Your password or an App Password is never entered on BskyKit. You approve access on your own Bluesky server. Accounts on servers other than bsky.social, including your own server, work the same way.

The session stays in this browser. Another browser or device starts signed out, with no History.

Choose Sign out in the account menu. This revokes the session on your Bluesky server and clears the follow lists kept for that account in this browser.

To use a different Bluesky account, sign out, then sign in with the other handle. History is kept on this device for the account that started each run, so each account sees its own runs.

These tools only read public Bluesky data and work without signing in:

Tools that read your own follows or lists, or change your account, ask you to sign in.
